Pulsations exercise - video
This is a body exercise of the Neuroimagination® method, that activates your brain and body functions. After the exercise you will be in good conditions to react with a relaxed attitude in stressful situations.
Through breathing, body movement and right-left stimulation, the metabolism in your brain is activated and your synapses switch to relaxation. On the physical level this can result in yawning, muscle relaxation and vascular dilatation. The whole body gets going. Do the individual steps of the exercise in a way that is comfortable for you.
Enjoy!

Competency in relaxation - exercise
This StressReset exercise is designed to increase your relaxation skills by strengthening your Positive Past. Relaxation competency is the ability to relax our neuro-biological stress system in a short time through targeted regulation, regardless of your current state. With this we enable our body interacting in cooperation with your mind to cope with stressful situations.

Competency in relaxation - a StressReset exercise
With the following instructions, you can reinforce with all your senses the inner image of a situation from your Positive Past. You will then be able to access it more easily in stressful situations in order to produce a relaxed state.- Find a place where you are undisturbed. Sit down and make yourself comfortable.
- For easier orientation, place the notes of the sensory perceptions from the StressReset introductory course near you so that you can read them.
- Breathe in and breatheout deeply (exhale longer than you inhale).
- Make the alternating right-left movement with your thumb and index finger.
- Imagine a situation from your Positive Past. If there are several, choose one.
- Look at that person you were in this situation and notice the clothes and the colors of the clothes.
- Now notice each each sense modality and say each one out loud. Pay attention to what your eyes saw, to the sounds you heard, to the scents you could smell, to the taste in your mouth, to the temperature and the feeling on the skin.
- Notice how that person you were then breathes, how your face looked, and what emotion it expressed. Perceive the sensations in the neck, shoulders, and back of that person you were then.
- Breathe in and breath out deeply (exhale longer than you inhale).
- Say goodbye to the image! Stretch your body or shake it out.
You may want to do multiple cycles of this exercise before saying goodbye to the image.

Conscious exhalation
Deep abdominal breathing provides relaxation in stressful situations and brings the body and mind into an interactive flow. This StressReset exercise can be applied quickly even at in-between moments.

StressReset exercise - deep exhalation 12x

Sit comfortably on your chair and look into the distance, away from the monitor or the work you are busy with. Now perform the two steps 12 times in a row. Consciously perform the two parts of the exercise; part one actively and part two passively.
- Actively: Deliberately exhale deeply until you feel that there is no more air in your lungs. Consciously experience this brief moment!
- Passively: Now let the air flow into your lungs without without actively taking a breath. Typically, the abdominal wall expands outwards in the process, as we aim for deep abdominal breathing!

StressReset Tip No. 3 - How to take a break
Who doesn't know those days when one appointment follows the next without interruption; when there is hardly any time to catch a breath between meetings, discussions and phone calls.

StressReset-Tip No. 3 - How to take a break
Who doesn't know those days when one appointment follows the next without interruption; when there is hardly any time to catch a breath between meetings, discussions and phone calls. There are appointments we plan ourselves and others we are invited to. On the latter ones, we usually have little influence. However, for our own appointments and meetings, we can arrange them in such a way that there is room for breaks. Plan your meetings so that they start five minutes later than usual and/or end five minutes earlier than normal, for example, 11:05 - 11:55 or 14:35 - 15:00.In this way you can take a break more often so as to recover and reactivate your mind and body through a StressReset exercise. You will then have time to tune into the next topic, to change meeting rooms calmly if this is needed, and to get some coffee, tea or water. Due to the new way of scheduling your meetings you will gain some extra time for pauses.
We wish you success in implementing this tip.
